Direct messages and groups for everyone at Cedar Valley Health.
How to use this page. The same text is in the full help.
- Open Chat from the sidebar, or the chat icon at the top. On a phone, tap Chat in the bottom bar.
- Pick a conversation from the list. Unread conversations are bold and show how many new messages there are.
- Use the search box to find a person, a group or words in messages you can see.
- Click New conversation to message one person or to start a group.
- Chat is for working together inside your clinic. Share only what a colleague needs, and link to the record instead of typing patient details.
Work details only. Personal contact details are not shown in chat.

Records you can open
Colleagues see the card only if their role lets them open that record. Others see "You can't open this record" with no name or details. Search text is never saved.
The message and any files in it disappear for everyone in the conversation. It shows as "This message was deleted".
For the clinic's records, the content is kept in the audit log for the retention period and can be seen by the owner during a review.
Search text is never saved or put in a link.
